GOLD medal at common welth game 2010 Delhi recently in Weightlifting 69 kg category on wednesday 6th october 2010Ravi kumar broke the game record by lifting 321 kg (146+175) and surpassed cameroon's Venecelas Dabaya's total of 310 kg to win the commonwealth title in 2009, 22 kg more than his next rival in the field Mohammad Talib of Malaysia

he is the only oriya boy who was selected to compete in the CWG's Weight Lifting 69 kg category. Ravi kumar was selected among the 15 number of weightlifting squad, declared by the indian weightlifting Federation (IWF) after a two-day trial held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Complex auditirium in New Delhi.
In Patiala, he is attending the indian camp for selection of the forthcoming Asian Game. He is also preparing for the Asian Game, and amis to compete in the next Olimpic to be held on 2012
Past Achivement of Ravi Kumar
Ravi Kumar was started his career as a weightlifter from the Veer Hanuman Club at Berhampur, orissa since 2004
In the national field he was won gold in the 69 kg category in the Junior National Weightlifting Championship held in Imphal in November 2007.
Then his brilliant track record includes winning silver in the Asian Junior Men's weightlefting championship held at Jorden in November 2007
He has won gold madel in CWG
Ravi Kumar is now working as a weightlifting trainer at the Army Sports Institute (ASI), Pune
He had won 23 Gold and Silver medals in the sinior National weightlifting Championship held in Rajasthsn on march 02
In his total he has wone 2 Gold and a Bronze medals in the Junior National Championship in past two year
